HOW TO FORMAT RAM ?
Posted on Deadplayer Forum,
I did deadplayer recovery process and it got detected as ADFU USB device but F drive wasn't detetected. Then I tried to install its own firmware (3.2.16) through its Mp3 player utilities 3.68 but it displayed an error "Invalid Firmware file upgrade" while it was the right firmware.I even tried to install the firmware after repairing it with sw1fx.But prob couldn't be solved.I also tried mp3 player utilites 4.05 & it displayed an error "Unable to read or write on disk...." My MP4 still displays a busy watchglass all time.THE MP4 GOT DEAD DUE TO VIRUS ATTACK WHILE I WAS UPGRADING THE MP4'S FIRMWARE.If you think u're a mpxplayer expertise or technician then tell me: 1.HOW TO REMOVE THE VIRUS? How to scan adfu usb port since F drive isn't detected. 2.HOW TO FORMAT RAM? so that i can lead to deadplayer recovery process. 3.Hopefully someone can reply with a solution.. I've been hanging on this problem 4 months,YOU KNOW IT. Thanks, sachitmaskey |
hello sachitmaskey..
i think there is a problem wit ur firmware..of course dead player will not recognised as "drive"...it will detected as ADFU..USB drive...(i recommend u to use the dead player recovery guide in this site) very good..i think ur firmware is not the right one..the is not matter wit the mp3 utilitiescoz any utility can do the recovery... YOUR FIRMWARE MIGHT NOT BE THE FULL VERSION..IT MAYBE THE DUMP.. dump is not the complete firmware of the player..it is just the part of the firmware...find a FULL firmware on the download section( i recommend 3.5.37)... to remove virus just do a clean format... |
sachitmaskey , what is your player's actual firmware?
i've seen your other posts, in here http://www.mympxplayer.org/disk-erro...e-vt2753.html? you say it is v9.0.48 But, in another of your post here http://www.mympxplayer.org/previous-vt3043.html? you say that is it v3.2.16 You need to verify your original firmware. If you do not know, open your player and check for the processor's serial number (eg ATJ2085, ATJ2097, etc). It is very difficult to follow up on your problem if you keep changing the version number. If your player is v9.0.48, then none of the firmware related tools will work for your version. |
Re: HOW TO FORMAT MP4 PLAYER'S RAM?
Device Name: S1 MP3 Player
Productor: Wilson Co.Ltd Vendor ID: 10D6 Product ID: 1100 Version: 3.2.16 This is all that I've known. Thanks sachitmaskey |
sachitmaskey , you need to follow the Dead Player Recovery guide and short the pins until the computer detects a USB device, then proceed to install the ADFU.

sachitmaskey , have you read the Dead Player Recovery guide yet? If you had not, i will suggest that you read it and understand everything on it first. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-play...ide-vt567.html
You need to understand the steps involved and what to expect with the completion of each step done. You will Not see any removeable drive appearing until the ADFU driver had been installed. You must install the ADFU FIRST before you can format, or scan the player's memory chip. What stage are you in right now? Regarding the flash write protected message, try this solution here http://www.mympxplayer.org/flash-wri...ed-vt3683.html |
sachitmaskey,
When the player is recognised as an ADFU device it will not show in Explorer as Windows is not reading it as a drive. It can not be formatted as an ADFU device. It will not appear in Explorer until you are able to successfully load a full version firmware. Once you have managed this you should then be able to format it. Once you have loaded the full version firmware and formatted you need to then load the correct firmware for your player. If the 3.2.16 does not load then it is either the wrong firmware or it is corrupt and no good to you so you will have to search for another one. If you can not get the player out of ADFU mode with any full version firmware then you will not be able to restore your player. I doubt the problem has anything to do with a virus, just a bad firmware upgrade or hardware failure. There are many things that can cause error reports when upgrading firmware from unrepaired or corrupt files and incorrect firmware to a poor pin connection on the memory or main chip. It is almost impossible to tell you exactly what is going wrong for you without actually having the player to test. Whilst 'lattesurf' myself and other members can try to give you some solutions that have worked for us in the past we are not experts and they may not work on your player for many different reasons. You need to explore all possibilities or accept that perhaps your player can not be recovered. |
