how to find the firmware model

Hi there!

I need to know how I can know my exactly model to upgrade the firmware.

the product is a 4gb mp3mp4player

http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...1590&rd=1&rd=1

The firmware info (surfing in the mp3mp4player) is:
ACT2097_S72_1
2006/04/25
9.0.50
2006/10/30

Devic name: S1 Mp3 player
Productor: Wilson Co. Ltd.

Itīs normally than the large files (more than 100mb) could have problems transmissions?

Some times the tree folders crash, and duplicate the folders and files... what happened?

There is a new version of the firmware? which is the exactly name/number?

Thankyou for your help

cheers
malak

Re: how to find the firmware model

Your firmware is ok. You have a hacked player! Please follow the instructions in this thread to find the true size of your player.

acihatholta , try all the v9.0.xx series firmwares in the downloads section here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html

If none of these work, try contacting your seller and see if they have the firmware file to send to you. Also search the CD that came with your player, sometimes the firmware is inside, it should be in .fw or .bin format.

ACT_v9.0.4x

Is it normal that large files (more than 100mb) can't play?

marioch , your problem with the folders and files seems to be symptoms of a hacked memory chip. Format your player with MP3 Utilities Disk Tool here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Regarding firmwares, never update with another firmware, even if the version number is exactly the same. As you would most likely brick your player. Unless your player is dead, you should never flash in firmwares.
