Default What to do with hacked mp4 players?

Hello,

I have been selling on ebay for a little bit and saw what looked like a fair deal on 8gb players and 4 bg players. I bought 42 of the 4GB players and 20 of the 8GB players. After reading the owners manual I started thinking something was wrong because the manual was just totaly crazy and made no sence at all. So my search for the truth lead me here and now I realize I my be holding the record for buying the most hacked mp4 players in history!

I am having trouble with the prosses to of removing the memory hack and with out fully knowing the true memory I plan to list them on ebay as 518MP and 1GB players. That would at least be honest according to what ive discovered so far but im going to take a loss at a time I realy cant afford it. Maybe this happened as a test to see if I would list them like the other sellers do and im given a chance to invoke some good karma?

Anyone want to buy a 1GBplayer ? LOL

MP4hack , bad luck dude. If i were in your shoes, most probably i'll just format the hack away and sell them as what they really are.

Liquidating them away would definitely cause you to lose alot of money. Selling them as the original memory size probably might cause you to lose some, but not as much as liquidation. You might break even though.

What goes around, comes around. Karma like they said, may not get you now, but will definitely get you sooner or later.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Hello Dima,

Shipping shouldnt be a problem. These players arrived three days ago and im still in shock over what I have learnt. after the shipping and the seller fees my total per unit price on the 1GB players was 74 bucks per unit. I have to think about it a day before I set a price to see how much I agree to lose. but I will come up with something.

Hello Lattesurf,

right now my computer is so messed up with other problems. I might get a new computer soon but I have to sell something soon because my bills are comming in. I was hoping to just sell them without fixing the problem BUT listings them with the correct memory rating.

I might even mention the frud being done on ebay and other places and ask people before the buy someone else player ask them to garentee there memory is what the listing claims. Maybe even link to this site so people would know the details.

Ohh, that much haven't you conntacted them? Say that you want ur money back or you'll sue them or something :/

If not, make a site and sell them for a bit higher price than the other sites sell, i mean not soo high, but not soo cheap...you will lose money but not soo much if you sell them good....ebay sucks when it comes to selling them (sell on ebay only if you want to sell them cheap)

Btw I have PM'd you...

liquidation.com has a strange return policy. you can raise a dispute within two bussiness days of reciving an order and it took me about that long to fully understand I had a problem. if the wrong quanity was shipped that would had been no problem reporting the dispute in time but since I was first unaware of the whole hacking thing it seems im to late.

I reckon that you should sell them as what they really are or just give them away.
