450 or so songs, but the player only shows 134 ???
Got one if those fake 4gig MPx players, knew it was prob fake before I bought it but for the cheap price its worth it even for a 2gig one :)
Anyway, copied about 450 mp3's to it (all in the root) but the player will only show & play 134.. I just did the firmware fix thing, so now it shows 2gig (or 1.8 whatever) and am copying all the mp3's back... Will this fix it ? or is it a normal limitation, and I have to use lots of folders ? Id hate to use folders cause then my random play wont work, it only random plays the the mp3's in the folder, not the mp3's in other folders :( Any ideas ? Thanks. |
Dont worry, after fixing the fake memory hack it works perfectly.

Darkness, It depends on the players firmware some have file number limitations per folder, sadly there is not much you can do about it without changing firmware which is mega risky as it is so easy to brick your player doing so.

Its all good now, all the mp3's show up in the root DIR, was just the dodgy hack I guess, or maybe the fact that I when I did the format I picked FAT32..
Either way is working great now. Cheers. |
Darkness , did you put all the files in the root directory?
i've heard of others who placed their files in just the root directory and could exceed the 99 file limit. |
I have 844 songs directly on the root, and I can play all 844 of them.
