Won't recognise music, just reboots and "empty disk&quo

I'm really sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. I get very muddled reading through all the tech stuff on here. So please bear with me. Thank you.

I just now purchased a 2Gig nano-look-a-like mp4 player. It all works well with my Mac and my PC at first but then something happended and it wont recognize any music I pop into it.

The audio file will be there but when I click on the music menu it just reboots. Then when I remove the music file it (of course) says "Empty Disk!"

How do I fix this please?

I mainly intend to use it for voice recordings and this feature works well as can be expected but I feel really rotten that it's brand new and doesn't work as it should.

mikelele , from the symptoms likely it is a hacked memory case. Try formatting your player first, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

However, be prepared for a drop in memory size.
