Opfer0, The chances of finding a firmware that suits all your players hardware is very slim. There are things like CPU, LCD type, Radio chip etc that also need to be taken into consideration. With any change of firmware you risk killing your player. At least with a 9.0.43 as yours is you can backup your original firmware in case things do not go well. You need to decide if the risks are worth the possibility of killing your player.

Opfer0 , the SP3767HN is the radio, not sure which company is it from, seems to be some manufacturer in China or HongKong.

CTW500 is the processor chip.

As tadad1 mentioned, any change in firmware (ie other player's firmware) you risk killing your player.
Besides, it is more than just the processor, memory, and radio chip alone. There are the screen module, wiring connection, etc.

Opfer0, If you have a backup of your 9.0.43 then you have a good chance of recovery but it all depends on how bad the upgrade goes. Sometimes you can find that you are left with a blue or black screen after upgrade but the player will still reconnect with your PC then you can just reload your backup without having to short your chip.
If the player is not recognised after the update then you need to short the memory chip which is the largest chip on your players mainboard to reset the player into recovery mode then you need to load a full version firmware followed by your dump file. This is not 100% though and you may need to try a few differrent full versions before you can load your dump. Do you want to go from vertical to horizontal or the other way?

backup is allready done, i allready played a bit around with the firmware backup/modify/flash tools with no problems at all , changing the themes a bit

the larget chip on my board is the 'Samsung 628 / K9HAG08U1M PCB0' , so this should be the memory chip which needs to be resetted ?!

i want to change from vertical to horizontal to get some more readable characters for the files, they are shortend too much

Opfer0, Yep that is the memory chip. If you want to try a couple of horizintal layout versions I suggest these as they are ones that both work on my 1.8 CTW500.
9.0.43 Here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/full-vers...500-df413.html
9.0.50 Here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/another-f...are-df448.html
