Default the files in my player were replaced

somehow my player removed all of its files. it wasn't even connected to the computer.
well anyways they were replaced with
a folder with the name of :*y (2 dots over the y)
i cant access that folder

anyways the player also consists of "├"

it's 0 bytes. the file type is : "file"

there's a file named " : " and it has 300,000 bytes.

the last one is called "30"
it's a "res" file with 3,000 KBs

can somebody tell me what types of files these are? are they virus's? are they important?

pmilladcs , very strange. Are you running any other file sync programs on your computer at the same time?

If not, your player's memory might be corrupted. Try a Windows Scandisk and perhaps a format.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
