s1fwx doesnt detect my player. player doesnt shut off lcd.
hello there, im new here and i have two problems.
-problem 1 im planning to upload my firmware but s1fwx doesnt detect my player. i've followed everything in the "upload your firmwares" thread but still it doesn't work. player details is: ipod nano cloned 2'2 inch screen 512mb capacity. not hacked. firmware version: core: act9x_0.43 date: 2006-04-25 fw: srx-1.5c-001 date: 2006-10-10 -problem 2 my player doesn't turn off its lcd screen anymore when it's playing a song and it's power draining. i fear the frequent charging of my player which may damage my battery. it used to turn off its lcd screen when it's playing a song but its not anymore turning off. what can i do? |
what error do you get while trying to extract your firmware. make sure you are using s1fwx 3.1 (http://www.mympxplayer.org/s1fwx-31-df417.html)
to turn off the lcd light: 1. go to settings/system 2. go to lcd set 3. go to black 4. set the time (its in sec) |
csgamegodd, s1fwx should detect your player as it appeasr to be an Action chipset player and the 9.0.43 firmware should extract and repair ok. Be sure to use s1fwx version 3.1 and try connecting your player to another USB port. Also be sure your player is turned on when connecting.

sir, regarding the lcd fix, whats written in the lcd set menu is:
>brightness >graymode >darkmode >exit which one? darkmode or graymode? regarding the s1fwx, my player is on and windows detects it even on the my compuer. |
darkmode is the one.
its really strange that s1fwx isnt detecting your firmware. are you sure its 9.0.43? |
lcd set done, my problem is the s1fwx now.

csgamegodd, In order to find out where the fault is occuring, try another USB cable and if possible another PC. If you still have no luck then there may be a poor pin connection on the memory chip or main chip.
You could also try connecting your player, when on the USB connection screen press the menu button and go to the settings menu. Select Firmware Upgrade, once done try running s1fwx. |
sir, im sure its act9x_0.43 :)
|
ok then, i'll try it when i arrive at home. as far as i can remember, i formatted my player using the player disk manager and had no problems. maybe it has something to do with the cables or the usb connection.
