Default Problems with a new MP4 8GB

I bought last January an MP4 8GB. Firmware data: Digital Player, LX93001_A, 2006/12/08, ACT_V 9.0.4x.

I can not create more than four files for MP3 songs. If I try to make a fifth file, the player becomes crazy. I did not store more than 20 songs in each file.

I have used the AMV converter tool to load a video file into the player, apparently there is no problem but when I try to play de video in the display appears the legend "Format error".

Could you help me, please? Is there a more complete user´s manual that you might send me by e-mail?

Should I format or change the firmware of the player to improve it?

I hope you can help me, Thank You

Nelson

Hi, you should format it to get the real capacity, because it is not a 8GB player for shure. That's why your files get corrupted. The player is hacked to read 8GB but who knows what the real size it. Please format it and report back.

Nelson , i'll suggest a format on your player using MP3 Utilities Disk Tools. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Be prepared for a large loss in memory size, as your player contains hacked memory.

Thank You, Que and lattesurf,

lattesurf, your guide to re-format these bugs is very clear and useful. Following it, I could to realize that the real capacity of my MP4 is just 228MB !!! (possible 256 MB). How can they to make appears so small memory as an 8GB memory???

It seems incredible. e-Bay sent me, too late, a warning about these guys, but I understand they follow scamming people with other nick names in e-Bay.

Now, they do not answer my mails and I guess I have lost my money.

Hi tadad1,

They sent an e-mail like this:

"Dear NELSON
The following is a notice from eBay Trust & Safety regarding:
Item Number - 260074194871
Item Title - nano mp3 mp4 player 8gb radio video audio fm 8g blue

We recently removed this seller's active listings and suspended the seller's trading privileges. Due to privacy concerns we cannot share further details about this seller.
If the seller asks you to complete this transaction outside of eBay, we strongly recommend that you do not proceed with the transaction...."

After that they recommended me to take some actions to recover the money or, in this case, to get a completely hacked player, from the seller.

Nelson

Wow.. are we seeing some results finally? Hopefully eBay really is taking a stand with regards to hacked players.

Nelson , depending on the mode of payment you made. If it was through paypal, open a dispute. You have a good chance of recovering most if not all of your money, since eBay reconigses this as a fraud.

If paypal does not refund, do a charge-back via your credit card if you used it.

Hi,

Yes,...I think e-Bay is trying to do something regarding the fake sellers, particularly I think it is not enough or it is too late...

In addition, I think, this kind of forums are very positive and e-Bay should recommend to visit it to everyone who is looking for an MP4 player...

Hi,

It is me again... It seems will be impossible to recover my money, so, I have to keep the player.

I have formatted the player using the player´s tools. There was no problem, except that now the player cannot receive the FM radio.

Could you help me, please? . Should it be needed to re-load the firmware again????

Thank You,
Nelson
