Default System Time

Whenever I go in and set the system time my player holds it until I power off the unit. As soon as I power it back on the system time has changed to some strange date and time.

Any ideas?

dacdiver , when u power off, is it through pressing and holding the play button, or through the on/off switch at the top?

The switch at the top, once off, cuts off all the battery supply, so the player will reset the time when it is switched on again.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

dacdiver,

When you turn off your player, press and hold down on the [play] button instead of using the [on/off] switch.

As there is no internal battery on the chip board that holds the time in it's memory while it's turned off like a computer, if you use the [on/off] switch, it will reset your time setting. This is because you are essentially cutting off the power supply to the player and with no internal battery on the board, your time setting will be lost.

Charge it with the switch set to "on". It will not charge when set it to "off". Always leave it to "on", unless you won't use it for some longer time.

Thanks people.

I have done what you have suggested and it keeps the time. (not sure why I need it though).
