Just got a new MP4
 

Hi there, just got an mp4 of ebay, second hand without instructions i have just put 3 different albums on it but when it plays back, they are not in any order, can anyone help? it is a 2gb black thin digital mp4 player with no name on it

stonecoldsteveaustin, Generally the files will play in the order that they were copied to the player. If you want to sort them differently by name etc you can download a tool called FolderSort here:

Be sure you have the "Repeat" setting to "Normal"

Thanks for that, my old mp3 you had to number the tracks i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc and they would play in that order so have done the same thing on this player but for example track number 1 now shows up on my player as track 14? and so on

stonecoldsteveaustin , the older versions of these players does not sort the music files in alphabetical order. But rather in the order that the file was copied in.

So if you copied track 3 first, followed by 4, then 1. The player will list the files as track 3, 4, 1, irregardless of the filename.

Refer to the post made by tadad1 using the Foldersort software to correctly copy the files in the order that you list it to be.
