MODE button goes crazy

I have bought the mp4 model describes as QQ5-02R.

In the firmware info appears (in this order):

ACT2097_s75
2006/06/12

The mode key was working correctly, but recently it works as backwards key and I can't enter in any mp4 function.

These are the features of my ebay mp4 player:

DaviD_H , seems like a firmware corruption, which could be easily fixed with a simple extraction and reflash of your original firmware.

However, the current firmware extraction tool S1fwx v3.1 does not support your firmware v9.0.50. So you can't do anything to the firmware at the moment. Also, do not flash in someone else's firmware into your player, you will most definitely brick it.

i'll suggest that if it is still under warranty, get the player replaced.
