Default Is my chipod totally damaged or just firmware damage?

my chipod:

-cannot read the files in my chipod.
-the space usage says i have used some of it.
-when i turn on my chipod the language is automatically set to chinese and not on english.

my pc and the others:

-have a faulty reading on my chipod especially on deleted files.
-when some of the pc's read it and i attempt to delete a file or reformat it, it -hangs up and when i pull the chipod out of its plug, it shows a deleting process but even if you wait for an hour still nothing is happening.
-firmware tools cannot detect my chipod.
-and i cannot do something about my chipod even transferring files.

its a 2gb chipod anyways. 1.8x1.8 inch player. i will be showing more data especially the firmware version(the firmware version looks like unusual and not on the .43-.50+ firmware versions and some chipod images.

have you already formatted it. if not, formatting can help prevent a lot of problems.

csgamegodd , try connecting the player to another computer and see if Disk Tools is able to detect your player. Then proceed with the format.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

csgamegodd , your player might be running a Sunplus or Rockchip or something chipset.
The MP3 Utilities only works for the Actions chipset.

i'll suggest you contact your seller for an exchange if it is still under warranty. As these types of players are the most difficult to recover.
