press the mode button and try changing the Rec Type to different options and see if it stops restarting and use that option only

Hello!
I have just the same problem probably on the same Ipod...I've bought it from a Chinese site (saoxie), it's a 8 Gb player and it's very similar to the original one; the problem is that if i try to enter the record mode from the menu, the ipod reboots. I don't know how to change the record mode because I can't enter 'Record' from the menu. The firmware is 3.5.37. Can I try to solve the problem upgrading to a newer firmware? And the question is...is there a newer firmware for my ipod? Where and how can I find the right one? Please help
Thank you very much for your support!

I paid 64 euro for a 256 mb player ...Now I've asked to change the player but the seller hasn't reply yet. I will insert him in all the black lists  If I won't obtain anything I think I will try to substitute the memory chip with a 2 GB or at least 1 GB. I should discover this wonderful site before!

Fox , if you paid through paypal, start a dispute. Else if you paid using a credit card, do a charge back.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

dr_kishk,

Try FORMATTING your player, it should solve the problem for you.

Fox,

Sorry to hear you have a hacked player. Please do blacklist the site as selling hacked players so others are warned of the problems.
