oh boy i cant believe why all nokia mp4 player users like me are having this problem. there is something seriously wrong with the stock battery that comes with the player.

just replace your battery with a nokia bl-4c battery and it will be alright :)

i tried to connect it with usb and removed the battary still doing the same thing

it's the exact player just with sony name on it

battery change should solve it as i mentioned above. i tried the thing you told me and many other things but nothing worked. change of battery worked.

if you are sceptical then maybe borrow a friend's nokia phone and take out the battery and see if the problem is solved before buying. you can also try bl-5c no problem with that but the battery cover wont close

i went to buy a new battary i tried 3 of nokia's BL-4c same error as the current one the time clock keek restarting and the player doesn't boot normaly and i even tried 5-c and bl-5ca all the same can you back up you firmware please

:( i was really hoping that change of battery was the ultimate and proper solution for the problem with the hourglass thing since it worked for me but looks like it isnt.

have a look here to see if you can revive your player
