Ltd. VERSION: 9.0.50 mp3 player sd97001_card 2006-11-27 9.0.50 2005-01-09 could someone please help me to get a better F/W |
camtheman2005 , at the moment the firmware extraction tool S1fwx only supports upto v9.0.43. Your firmware would be unable to be extracted properly.
Without this extracted firmware, you would be unable to theme your player and re-flash it back safely without bricking your player. i'll suggest not doing anything to the firmware at this moment until the tool is able to support your version. Do not try to flash in someone else's firmware as it would most likely brick your player. |
any ideas when it will be available?
will my player take any other firmware? |
Quote:
NO... your player will not take any other version of firmware. If you were to flash another version to your player it will kill it for sure.. 100%. The version already in there is for that chipset only. Just enjoy it for now and have patience.. the new software to mod it will be out soon |
OOOHH!! That would explain why the tool didn't work on my player. I thought something was wrong with the player, itself, or it wasn't connected right.
So I guess we'll have to wait. >< |

cuteday , Rockchip players are not recommended to be upgraded. The firmware files you have downloaded are all for Actions chipsets, not Rockchip.
Rockchip players once bricked with a wrong firmware update, usually would need to be factory reseted as the firmware tools for it are very rare on the internet. Besides, there isin't many Rockchip firmwares around. So what i'll suggest is to just enjoy your player as it is. Never do any firmware updates to it. You have almost close to 0% chance of recovery should you brick it. |
