Default can't turn speakers off on Nexxtech E-62

Hey guys. I bought this Nexxtech E-62 MP4 player and I'm having a little problem.

On video and music modes I can't turn the external speakers off. Sound goes out through both external speakers and headphone. On radio mode, sound only goes out though headphones though.

I may be missing some option to disable them but I can't find it anywhere.

Do you have any idea?

Emiliano

It should turn the speakers off when you attach a headphone. Maybe the plug is lame, are you using regular 3 contacts plugs or 4 c. ones? Insert and remove the plug a couple of times, tried other phones?

I'm using a 3 contact plug, the one that comes with the mp4 player.

The weird thing is that in Radio Mode, sound only goes out only through the headphones. Even when I take the headphones off, while still in Radio Mode, the external speakers do not output any sound.

On the other hand, while in Video or Music mode, it doesn't matter whether the headphones are plugged in or not, they always output sound.

inwx , i recall from some posts in the past that long pressing a certain button on your player switches the speakers to earphones and vice versa.
i can't recall which button it is, but try all the buttons.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

I've tried all 5 buttons and none of them turn off the external speakers.

play button exits Music or Video mode
ff button fast forwards
rw button rewinds
downward arrow goes to volume menu (nothing happens here)
play button turns off the mp4
