The fm radio is a seperate chip , so either the chip is faulty and your player will not be damaged atall , or your headphones arnt making a proepr connection or you have no chanels where you live/ havnt scanned proeprly/ cant pick up the chanels with a small ariel.

Firmware update would not be a good solution.
Does the radio mode work at all?
Make sure the radio is not set to Japanese band.

jithendra , when in the FM Radio program, press Menu and select Search Level. Next decrease the value to 1, then try scanning for radio reception again. If it does not work, set the Search Level to the maximum instead and search again.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
