Default Computer won't detect my player

Howdy.

Just bought this player yesterday, and i can turn it on, all fine.

Only problem is, i can't put any songs in it.

I plugged the USB cable to my computer and to my player, but my computer doesn't detect it. On my first attempt, my computer read it normally as a removable disk, but after a few seconds, the player's screen turned into an hourglass and it was disconnected from the computer.

Now i'm trying to reconnect it, but my computer can't seem to read it again.
The player shows the screen of the "usb connected to computer" and then after a while the hourglass screen shows again and bring me back to the main menu (music, amv, etc.)

Can anyone help me pls. I can't even transfer my music! useless.

By the way, here's the firmware info that i got from the player:

mp3 player
dx501-v4
CM60022-B
2006/12/26
ACT_V3.5.37

Thanks!

okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay......................is that even english........any, way try googlein up usbview or download it from download.com and see if you can find it with that, also you cannot press any button on the player once connected or move it cause some have faulty or loose usb port. Try this if not................ :?

Hello Ricanjoe,

i tried usbview, but when i connected the player, there's no change in the usbview window. the player's screen just keeps on showing the "usb connecting to computer" screen and then the hourglass screen and over and over again.

do you still have other solutions there?

Thanks m8
