Ok, this might sound like a silly question but it has to be asked...

Do you have the on/off switch at the top in the 'On' position?

The 2nd Gen nano clone will work when connected to the computer with the switch in the 'Off' position. You can play music and AMV's but it won't charge. The moment it is disconnected from either the computer or wall power outlet it will shut off. This switch has to be in the 'On' position to charge and operate.

I know first hand that if you plug the player into the charger but not into the wall outlet and theres a charge already in the battery it will switch on as it detects the chargers circuit on the other end of the USB cable.
It's refusal now to light up could mean the battery is finally drained.
At this point all i can suggest is you get in contact with the company or person you bought the player from and look at getting it replaced because unfortunately it sounds like there is either a problem with your players charging circuit or it's battery.

Anyone else here have any ideas?

I don't think it is the battery. Can you tell me the factory settings so I can revert them. Also I never Formatted the music player before i used it. is that the problem??

DAM2991 , does your player get detected by your computer? Try formatting using MP3 Utilities Disk Tool, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Does the player still act the same way after a format?

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Okay, I formatted it, but I was wondering how long it takes to charge atleast half. So I can test it.
