Default mp3/mp4 player

Hi,I'm new here I just got an mp3/mp4 2GB (like a nano) player for my son.We don't know anything about it and the instruction manual isn't very helpful. How do you create new folders in like music, amv ect..it has under music 3 folders root,mp3,and record and all the rest says no files! Also we can download music off of cd's that have been copied to the computer, but anything that has been downloaded from the internet won't play on the player it doesn't show up on any file, but when you look on the computer it says the music is in the mp3 file.Do you know what to do??

Hi jsshimm,

My player is probably different than yours, but I will provide some general guidelines:

Your player plays .mp3 audio files. To get audio tracks from a CD onto your player they will need to be converted .mp3 format first.

Your player should have come with a CD with such a conversion utility. If your player can display videos, then the utility will also convert certain types of video files to a format sutable for the player to display.

Once the mp3 files are converted you will then connect the player to the PC and copy the mp3 files to the mp3 folder.

The record directory is probably where the player stores recorded files when you use the unit as a voice recorder.

Please check the file download section of mympxplayer.org. I believe there are some better written manuals availible for download.

jsshimm , treat the player's drive as a removable USB thumbdrive. Just access the drive, then right click and create new folders. To copy songs, just drag & drop or copy & paste the music files from your computer to the player's drive.

You may want to create multiple folders to store different things, like Music folder, Video folder, Text folder, etc etc. The player would be able to find the required files regardless of where you store them into.

Regarding the music downloaded from internet, are they bought from online music stores like itunes, walmart, etc? These files are drm encoded and can't be copied to another computer/player to play it.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
