Default s1fwx_v31 does not read

Hi to all,
As many of you, I have one of these dead player also.
I've been reading a lot about it, and I tought I'm ready to give it a try to fix it.
Downloaded the s1fwx_v31 software for reading and fixing the firmware.
I have several of these players on hand, with different firmwares.
I can not read any one of them with this software.
Every time I try it, it starts out ok, than it says: error, the system can not read from the specified device.
Than it writes to file called dump.bin
But it only show three files within: brecf285.bin
fwimage.fw
sysinfo.bin
It does show firmware version but will not read it correctly.
I've tried it on different versions not just the 9.0.50 wilson co.
what am I missing?
Any help would be appreciated

brainstorm , what firmware versions are your other players using? Currently only upto v9.0.43 is supported by S1fwx.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

I have acces to a few different kind, and we tried to read them with the software, but it does not read any of them. That is why I wrote about it.
What firmware versions does it read?
Most of the ones I've tried to read has 9.0.50 or 9.0.48
For the one that has gone bad I woud need 9.0.50.
If the software does not read the 9.0.50 I assume I can't have that one at all. More likely noone will has it. Is this correct or what?

brainstorm , like you said, others with working v9.0.50 are unable to dump their firmware to upload to the forum. So you might not be able to locate a compatible firmware for the dead player. Likewise, you would be unable to dump your working v9.0.48 or v9.0.50 as well.
