G'day Rod, What firmware did you use to recover?
I don't understand what you mean by "need a dump.bin to suit "
The CTW500 is a Glacier isn't it?
If it is, there is a firmware file on the UXcell website here > http://www.uxcell.com/public/mp3upda...ine_061031.rar

EDIT: It could also be the Osmium here > http://www.uxcell.com/public/mp3upda...INE-061218.rar

Maybe they'll work

Re: 9.0.48 dump.bin

Hi Odyssey
I really don`t know a lot about mp4 players but apparently mine was dead.
I`ve managed to get the computer to recognise it as a mass storage device by loading a full version 9.0 48.bin firmware.
It now has a blue screen and it won`t do anything.
I believe I need to load a Dump.bin file to get it to load a program.
I`ve tried several but they have all been incompatible.
The board serial MP-693W(3.0)
small chip is CTW500
F8232FA
C9F

large chip
HYNIX
HY27UU088G5M
TPCE 641A
M7S62692YQ

Same as this pic only 1GB

What is a Glacier and Osmium, are they brand names?.
Will their firmwares help.
Rod
