Default Charging Problem

I recently purchased a Kudez 2gb mp4 player on ebay. Everything seems to be cool with the exception of charging. It came 1/2 charged out of the box. I have tried charging it by usb and wall charger, but the battery icon continues to dwindle down. On the wall charger the green light does not come on. I have (2) wall chargers and neither of them has the green light come on. I have been able to transfer files without a problem, the computer sees the drive, but it does not seem to take the charge, and the top switch is on. I have not touched the firmware. Please help if you can. Thank you for any suggestions.

port3460 , sometimes it maybe a firmware bug that does not animate the battery icon whilst charging, or display the correct battery level.

What firmware version are you currently using now?

Port3460, your player looks exactly the same as mine. I cannot charge my battery while the payer is switched on. Switch the slider to off, and plug your player into the computer with a single usb cable.

I'll give a shot. Are you able to use the wall adapter at all? Because when I travel I don't have access to a computer to charge the unit. Thank you for your reply.

Port346o

I can use the wall adapter. I do get the green and red light coming on when I attach the player. However, it has been recommended on here that you stick to charging your player through the usb cable in the computer. As the adapters are not made very well and may have the potential to damage your battery.

If your palyer is charged enough click on system set up and scroll through the options to find firmware version. Click on at it should tell you what you have.

Mine seems very temperamental for when it accepts charge, but I believe I have read that some seem to charge better when you specify "radio", rather than just having it sitting on the menu window. Dunno, I seem to have gotten mixed results with this.

Rogue _ STreak,

do you mean that your player is turned on and you have scrolled through to the radio screen?

port3460 in my last player It happens to me exactly the same, and what you only can do is to charge it by connecting it to the computer. I spoke to the seller but it doesn't make sense.

Bye!
