Default Mp3 8G have only 108Mb available


Hi everybody!
My name is Lam, I'm from Viet Nam.
I bought a Mp4 player 8Gb at Sang Hai city 1 week ago. it is hacked memory . I don't understand 8G ==> 108Mb .

1 Gigabit=128MB
4 Gigabit=512MB
8 Gigabit=1Gigabyte
16 Gigabit=2Gigabyte

hello iam memduh (sorry for ma bad english)

i have the same problem like nheem and i use 8GIGABYTE for more than 1 month, but than i updated a new firmware and i had a lot of problems!
but i solve that problems (THANK TO THE FORUM) and now i see 108mbyte! (BEFOR 8 gigaBYTE)


Please help us... i have formated and did other things but nothing helps!!!!

There are 8 bits to 1 byte.

Your sellers lied. They sold you players with 128Mb chips made to look like 8Gb chips. That is what the memory hack does. You never actually had 8Gb players. Sorry.

Hello!

I've got the same problem as nheem, but i disassemled my mp4, and noticed that i have HY27UFO81G2A chip, that is 8GigaBit = 1GB. What should I do ? Is it possible to get working 1GB on this chipset ? BTW I can't contact with the seller, becouse I have this fake ipod from shop in China, and i just can't go there personally. Please help me.
