Orange symbol in the middle of the screen
 

my problem is with the gen 2 mp4. Went to delete music tracks manually
with players keypad deleted no problem.

BUT now there is a symbol smack bang in the middle of the screen this orange and in 2 parts not unlike a hand set for a phone tried power off and also checked through menu but nope cannot find a thing as to how to remove it so any help please :oops:

Is there anyway you can take a photo of that symbol and post it on the site?

I would be interested in seeing what it looks like.

It might be a possible fault with the screen than anything else as I haven't heard of an orange symbol appearing in the middle of the screen before.

He might be referring to the 'hourglass/blue screen' of death. It's orange.. sort of.

I know from experience that it stays there longer with the more memory you have. On my FMP 1.5 it'll hang for 8 to 10 seconds. On the 2GB 1.8 it'll hang for 15 to 20 seconds and on the 8GB Venom it'll stay on it for 25 to 30 seconds. But if i wait that time, it usually disappears and goes back to the main menu.

In this case however, it definitely sounds like the "bluescreen/hourglass of death"
