I need litle help to make back up on my Mp4 player

Dess, The problem is that s1fwx cannot completely extract firmware version 9.0.50. There isn't a tool at the moment that can. The errors are from areas of the ROM chip that s1fwx cannot read. Someone is working on it but no one knows how long it will be until it's available.

I also advise you to not flash any other version to your player as it will most likely disable (brick) it and the chances of recovery are slim

OK.. i can see you didn't read all of my post...

what i said was...

"You cannot backup version 9.0.50"

you just can't... there is not a program that can right now.

I have 2 players and now one is dead
my idea is copy firmware by other mplayer to the dead /same models/

but u post kill me :cry:

Well there is a small ray of hope for you recovering your dead player. There are plenty of different versions of firmware in our download section. You could try downloading and flashing all the 9.0.50's one at a time until you find one that works. ( i don't think theres many though)

The alternative is trying a new tool thats in beta right now called s1flash.

It doesn't support 9.0.50...yet... but it might be worth a try.. you can download it at www.s1mp3.de
