Default strange problem today!! help!

Hi...I bought a new mp4 player (I pode like). it has been working great for 2 weeks. today when I connect my player to my computer it charges the battery( I can see it) but it doesn't make the connection with the computer. I have tried all the usb ports on my computer but didn't work. I started thinking that there is something wrong with the usb port of the mp4 player. I don't know what do to. can anybody suggest something please.

ikarus2007 , so the player does not appear with a removable drive in My Computer?

Install MP3 Utilities, does Disk Tools recognise the player?

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29

Hmm I've got the exact same problem with my glacier. I haven't put any new songs on it for about a week now and today when I connect it to my computer, nothing happens. My one charges as well and works when the battery isn't connected, so it's not the usb cable and I've tried on my other computer and still the same.

Is this common with mp4 players? Now I have to listen to the same songs forever :x

 Problem solved, used a different usb cable now my computer recognizes it. So the problem was the usb cable in the first place, but that's weird why would it charge but not be recognized by the computer.

ikarus2007 change your usb cable.

the usb cables are badly made , often not working out of the box , the data cables often split whereas power cables are left intact , this is why your player looks like its connected but its not.
