Radio not working

Hi folks,

I have a "nano clone" that I have recently bought. This one is the second. The first I found was actually 2GB, went mad at the seller and now seem to have a full 4GB (or at least it doesnt fall over like the last one and I am loathed to start messing with the formatting).

However when I try and access the radio I get the timer then a blue screen saying "hard error". I am then returned to the "radio icon".

Any ideas?

Plus how do I get this bugger apart to see what chip it has? It has 2 screws on the bottom but no way of pulling the internals out, and again I don't want to spanner it. It looks exactly like a nano and can be viewed on ebay if u look at 4GB players - seller: e-bayseller2008 or:

Hey ho

Cheers,

Harlequin , likely your player does not physically have a radio chip, or the radio chip has been damaged.

The "Hard Error" just simply means Hardware Error, likely you can't do anything about it, except to ask your seller about it.

To open these gen2 players, you'll need to lift the white cover/sticker at the top, where the On/Off switch is. Once lifted off, you should be able to see a screw hidden below it. Unscrewing it would allow you to open the casing.
Take note, you might need to depress/rotate the keypad to allow the casing to open properly, or you risk damaging the circuit board inside.
