liltrippychild , what does your screen display just before it turns off?

Also, under what circumstances does it turn off?

liltrippychild,

In your player's "System" settings, there is a setting for sleep and power off.

Let me know what they are as it suspect the setting your player is set to turn off or suspend after a certain amount of time of inactivity (much like a laptop setting).

Re: keeps turning off

it says bye bye and the power off and sleep time are off i checked those it just turns off when im holding it and the battery is fully charged i even tried the setting the clock and only using the play button to turn it off but it still does it after like 10 mins or even less.

liltrippychild , since the sleep & power timing are set to off or zero, i could only think of two reasons.

1. The battery does not hold it's charge properly.
2. Static from your body or clothing causes restarts or the player to switch off.

Mostly it'll be due to no 1, as it is the most common reason. But no2 does happen too, my old nano clone with the shiny metal back always have the shutting down problem when it is in my pocket and i'm walking.

liltrippychild,

Also, even though you have your sleep and power off setting to "0", do you have a time set up in your player's clock settings? Unfortunately with some players, the sleep and power off settings don't work unless you specify a time. Once a time is set in the player, it will then keep the power off and sleep settings.

Also, to make sure your clock doesn't lose it's settings, you will need to turn off your player by holding down on the [play/pause] button instead of using the [on/off] switch.
