problem with the play button??
 

i'm having this problem with my mp4's play button.. everytime i open the player, at least 90% of the time i have problems playing music.. nothing happens when i press the play button.. sometimes i have to press it over and over again forever until it would finally start playing.. then sometimes when it has started playing, i cant pause or stop it with the play button.. this is whats happening to me, when the play button starts to become non-functional, it'd be hard to return it to normal, and nothing you do, even long press or someting, would fix it.. any ideas on what would be causing this? i am pretty sure my player's play button isn't broken or something, i am positive that its the player that has some problems..

also, sometimes the files just suddenly become unplayable like for example my favorite song which i could normally play and infact i play over and over again for like a thousand times on my player before, one day suddenly becomes broken.. it says format error, and after that, song after song it'd say format error until about half of all the songs in my player (which would all normally play) become unplayable too..

sigh.. lotsa problems.. i've done the formatting to remove memory hack and it has temporarily fixed all the said errors, but after a while, it starts being problematic again!! :cry:

potterboi , for the button problem, i would suspect a problem with the control pad's circuit board. The push buttons on the board itself might have poor soldering, causing the intermittent problems.

For the storage/playback problem, it is very hard to say, however, you can try a scandisk, guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-pe...rs-vt5595.html

If the problem still persists, it could be due to the memory chip getting old and showing signs of wear and tear.

But generally, these memory chips are quite robust, and you are more likely to sit on your player and break it, than the memory chip dying.
