Default play button damaged...


hello..i got a mp4...the play button of the player is damaged...so whenever i push the play button..it push the menu button that just beside it...do i need soldering back.. the play button
???

gaboon , i'll suggest you open the player to take a closer look at the problem as it is quite difficult to diagnose the problem this way.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

..i have already opened up the player...and i found out that the play button pin is broken.....i have tried putting small metal clips between it...but still didn't work..can i mod the player...like using waterlily software..??i think i gonna change the rec button function with play button..can i??

gaboon , if your firmware is the v3.5.xx series most likely you can re-assign the buttons. If you practically don't use the Rec button, you could always try assigning that to Play instead.

yea...lattesurf my firmware is 3.5.37....so i can mod it...i'm very happy now...it is actually my friend's mp4...he sent it to me for repair...now i can repair it...thx in advance lattesurf

I think you can solder back. if wire was removed from mainboard, you can solder back using small wire. that is it.
