Can't move down within games
Got a new Sony TD-28, plays amv, mp3, wav, radio, has some more features too. It has a joystick and a play/pause button and a loop button.
The problem is that in the games that came with it, there is no way to go down... Suppose I am playing WinMine and I need to move through the boxes, but when I move the joystick up, nothing happens, when I move it right or left it moves, when I move it down it flags the box and when I press the joystick it moves up, How Do I Go Down? It is so with all the games, no way to go down, even with the two buttons :( Thought of upgrading the firmware but cant back it up, it gives errors, and plus I cant tell which all firmwares it supports. And ofcourse I won't take a chance. Thanks if you help. it currently shows this in the version, MP3 Player LSD_9101_20 9.0.50 2005-01-09 one thing that I also found related to this was that a user named Ayush has the same mp4 player but he had it with a different firmware when he bought. http://www.mympxplayer.org/unable-to...37-vt3311.html And can anyone explain if possible how to use he upgrade firmware option in it? Thought it might be helpful... Can you people help? please? |
DrCoolSanta , it is not advisable to "upgrade" any firmware. You will only have a 99% of bricking it even if the firmware version states the same.
Regarding the game play buttons, there is nothing much you can do as your firmware is v9.0.50. And as you have discovered, is not extractable at the moment yet. i'll suggest not doing anything to the firmware and just enjoy your player as it is. There is nothing you can do to it at the moment. p.s. your player is not Sony branded, it is likely a fake. |
lattesurf i read through this topic and i was just about to post " PS Your player isnt sony" , you stole the words right out of my mouth , I am sure that sony wouldnt use a cheap actionchipset in a player , it ruin sonys reputation as actionchipsets are the worst in the world.

Re: My Sony TD-28
I am unhappy, my player came out to be hacked,
instead of 4gb it was 470mb :(. Now I am returning this to the seller. Anything I can be sure of would not be hacked or something? There is a whole market there and I only checked out one shop, I can find a dozen more shops there selling mp4 players, can you tell me how to check whether the player is hacked there and then? PS The guy told me that its fake sony, I knew that, if I had to buy a real sony I'll prefer a mobile ... :) |
DrCoolSanta, There is no way to tell if a player is hacked until it arrives. You should check the sellers feedback using Toolhaus.org where you can enter the sellers name and find all his negative feedback. If any negative feedback is about hacked players then do not deal with them.
