ME2 2 GB problem

I have a "2 GB" ME2 (looks just like the glacier in the photo gallery) and can't load more than 500 MB of songs on it. I followed the hack removal process and it went from 2 GB to 1 GB (962 MB). I also removed the back and checked the chip and it is a Samsung "8G" which according to the chart should be 1 GB. The price was low enough that 1 GB would be OK but 500 MB sucks. Anyone else seen this problem?

Problem solved,
I used windows to reformat in FAT32 instead of FAT and can now use the entire 1 GB. (Still crappy that it's not 2 GB)

snewpy, where'd you get it from? seems that lately a lot of these glacier look alikes have turned out to be hacked. so far sellers eby-star, power_player88, and smile_plus168 have received complaints.

I got it from smile_plus168. Other than the hacked memory it's a pretty good little player and I am impressed by the lcd screen quality compared to some of the other players. I must be a glutten for punishment because I have ordered another one from power_player88. I'll let you know if it's a true 2GB player when it shows up.
