mcluca , what firmware version is your player currently using? Check by going to the System menu >> Firmware Version.

If it is above v9.0.43, which very likely is for new players, then you can't extract a working firmware dump as the software currently only supports upto v9.0.43.

3.5.37 wilson. Which version can i upgrade?

mcluca , it is not recommended to "upgrade" your firmware as it would most likely 99% brick your player. Upgrading does not give you any additional functions.

However, you can always theme your player, full guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-mo...ng-vt1719.html

mcluca,

If you use any other firmware, you will kill your player.

Just because a firmware is the same version ie: 3.5.37 or whatever, does not mean it is compatible.

Only a compatible firmware version will work in your player. YOUR firmware that you dumped from your player, if it was extracted correctly.

The firmware in the download section is not for 'upgrading'. it's for dead players only.

You can 'theme' your player correctly if you use YOUR firmware.
