my MP4 player stops
 

hello everybody, very newbie I bought an MP4 player 8 GB on ebay version firmware

9.0.50
2005-01-09
It worked well for 2 days, now for any reason when it plays the music on it stops and the song come back after 20 secondes at te beginning, I dd't put any files on ,it it's just fill wth the sample that are in the player when I bought it. The sample of the video works fine , the game too, it freezees with the recording, so now I don't know what to do, it's recognize bu the computer, I thought about format and a new intallation but don't know how to do, on the CD there is tool may be I have to use one of them really lost.

jef, your player may not really be 8GB. The problems you are having are symptoms of a hacked memory chip and you true memory capacity may be much less.
I suggest reformat your player using the MP3 Player Disk Tool as outlined in this post:

This will remove any memory hack if it exists and you should not have any file problems. Be sure to backup any files you want to keep from the player as they will be deleted.
