Default Headphone jack problem

I have a 1GB chipod and now im only getting sound out of the left channel when headphones are plugged completely in. If I move the headphone connector around I can sometimes pick up the other channel but lose it again as soon as I let go. Also, both channels sometimes work when the headphones are only plugged in half way.

how can i fix this ? please some help..

Default Re: Headphone jack problem

i had the same problem, so i returned the player and asked for a replacement, but they didnt replace the earphones or the player so my only choice was to buy a better pair of headphones, i got an adapter like thing so i can use headphones with a bigger jack (came with player) and now i try not to move alot when listening to music and i have to keep the jack plugged halfway in, other than that i found no solution, hope it helped

Onida , most likely the solder on the earphone socket had broken off. You'll need to open the player to re-solder the socket back to the board.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
