Not on an old rk26 series rockchip, NO

newer RK27 series chips can be backed up so many of the problems experienced with older players is now eliminated, newer rockchips are mainly in branded chinese players at the moment but they are now appearing on ebay in cheap nasty no brand name form

there are 2 on dealextreme at about $50, ugly and gos knows what thery are like

Hi, yesterday i've tried to update my mp4 firmware, without sucess. I've downloaded teh firmware from teh powerpack's site, i've choose the correct firmware but i guess it is wrong on the site. My mp4 is a powerpack ms68, and when i upgraded the firmware i've got a blank, white screen. The botons are incorrect too, because i can't change the volume of sound, but i can hear the musics. There are some way to help me ? If there are, please, tell me.
Thanks.

This is how to get into update mode,

All you do is this,

1) Switch the player OFF using the main on/off switch.

2) Hold down the "MENU" button and keep it held down.(try the other buttons one at a time if this button don't work)

3) Connect the usb to the player.

4) Wait for about 10 seconds before releasing the button.

5) You should be now in "ROCK USB" upgrade mode

6) Then just start ConsumerUpdate and upload your firmware.
