Alba video problem

Woe is me
Just bought the ALBA player 2.4 screen size 2 gig ...The prolem is that the software sent was for AMV convertion and the player is an AVI player the problem is I have not been able to replay any video back on the player through any software I have downloaded,..I have read that there is a software calld AVIconvert v1 but I am not able to locate it ...All files I try to play say that the format is wrong!!! I am at a loss and to cap it all I deleted the demo avi so I cannot look at that to get an idea of the format ..Love the player in audio and pictures ...Is there anywhere I can download a file to play back and get the format from this site...anyone with a bit of help please..

Also use the site search feature in the top left Board Navigation box and do a search for AVConverter. You will find some setting options that people have used.
