Well I found that screen usually sticks when adding new songs, perhaps it's during the indexing part?

My only guess, since your pc cannot detect it, is that your chip is somehow corrupted. Or the MBR (Master boot record that holds your file system info on the chip) is not right.

Kinda awkward since your pc cannot detect it... hmm... anybody know how to flush a chip?

I have the same problem on a nano clone mp4 player. I tried the dead player recovery guide, but my player couldn't go into ADFU mode. You might want to give it a shot, maybe you're lucky: http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-play...ide-vt567.html

OH! Something like USB Device not recognized? I found that to be a bad link somewhere between the chip and your pc's usb. Are you plugging it in via a hub or extension cable?

The message is New Hardware Found, but when I try to install it, it fails.
Then I try to set the player as an ADFU device (learned that from the Dead Player Recovery Guide). But the PC still doesn't detect ADFU device, so I tried to point it to the AdfuUpdate.inf file, but I get the error message:

Any ideas?
