mp3/mp4 player not charging

ok does your mp4/mp4 player not charging , but do connects to your pc or charging...

try opening your player and melt the lead on the battery.. if its still doesn't work look for the resistor labeled S4 it should be near the batter...

hint" to find it more quickly just follow the line connection of battery

hi.. myvic sorry the late reply

i think theres something wrong with your s4 resistor well heres a fact i cant get any s4 resistor in any electronic shop how ever you can get it from other player..

for the mean time try remove the s4 and replace with a magnetic wire or lead.. if its still doesn't work try replacing you battery..

SMD marks (maybe will help):

Code ; Typ ; Hersteller ; Base ; Gehäuse; Ersatztyp :
S4 ; 1SS389 ; Tosh ;I ; ESC ; low fwd V schottky 40V 0.1A

or

S4 ; 1SS367 ; Tosh ; I ; USC ; low fwd V schottky 40V 0.1A

By the info provided by zaks it's a diode, so you could replace it with a wire, but if there will be any voltage fluctuations in the player's input voltage, you will most likely blow something.

Not to worry about if you only charge via USB though. ;)

why not put in some fast SMD diode.. man can find it on local market, i'm sure..
i think it is ok put it diode, bacause will stop reverse voltage.. ¤

yep, my mp4 is discharging when im charging!..

@zacks
how exactly will i use a diode?

@angel
i saw the s4 resistor but im afraid to remove it coz it seems okay.. eheehe..

if you can recognize anode and cathode on diode is simple : on place of your element put diode (it's no need to be SMD design of diode, can be regular diode if you have place there) so that anode will be on + of battery, and cathode on other side where your element was..
if your element was conected on - pol of battery - then cathode ned be connected on - pol.. ¤

What do you use for charging your player? As some USB controllers don't like MPx players. :P
