want to upgrade firmware if possible

Is is possible to upgrade the firmware for this goofy chinese mp4 player? It is a Lisong, firmware version LSD_501_05 , SDK:V35.37, 2006-08-07.

My computer is currently running windows vista home premium. I hate this version of windows!

Upgrade? NO.
Rather than me type the whole long drawn out arguement as to why you shouldn't upgrade your player, you should explore this site and read some of the articles and posts on that very subject.

I can tell you.. (by looking at your firmware type and version) that if you don't like the look of your mp4 players screens you can change them by extracting YOUR firmware, modifying it and uploading it again to your player. In all honesty, thats about the ONLY SAFE upgrade your going to get.

Maybe I should ask this then, are there any drivers available to make it work with windows vista home premium?

You may have to give a little more info

The only drivers needed would be standard USB. These are already built into Vista. Just like XP your player should be automatically detected as a USB drive. Plug n Play.

Or are you talking about conversion programs for video and audio?
