can't extract/modify firmware on uxcell Vista player

s1fwx can't detect my new Vista player. Anybody know why? The memory hack fix also couldn't see it. My computer sees it just fine. I've done firmware extracts and memory fix on my other player and it worked fine, so I know I'm not just doing something wrong.

aliasjanedoe,

No, you're not doing anything wrong there, it's just that s1fwx is unable to extract the Vistas firmware.

The Vista is using the 'Rockchip' chipset and s1fwx can only detect and extract 'Actions' chipset firmware versions of 9.0.43 and below.

Rockchip players, although much much better than Actions, are difficult to theme as there isn't a utility that can extract Rockchip firmware.

Thanks for the reply. But bummer, because its start-up and shutdown screens are seriously lame.
