Default Formatted, now capacity from 60gigs to 900mb

I just bought an mp4 player this last week and when I was installing the player I accidently reformatted the disc. The player still works fine but the capacity of the hd went from 60gigs to 900mb.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I thought I would ask here before I contacted the company. Thanks

P.S.
Help me please

That's a major difference (from 60GB's to 900MB)!

Can you tell me more about your MP4 player? I haven't heard of an MP4 player that has 60GB before that's for sure!

Where and who did you get it from?

I got it from deals-directinc.com. I really was 60gigs. I accidenty somehow got 7gigs of corrupted files stuck on the player and tried using the reformat software that came with the player to erase the files. Now it is formatted at 900mb I'm going to try partition magic but I don't know if it will work. What I really need is just some file to restore the player.

That figures!

deals-directinc.com are scammers and cheats.

Just do a search of this forum and you'll find all the info on them.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the 60GB because it never had 60GB to start with and you'll never get it back. It isn't a HD player either, it's just a 1GB chip.
It was only ever a 1GB player. Why do you think you got it so cheap? It was hacked to show 60GB.
True 60GB players cost hundreds of dollars and as far as i know, are only made by Apple.

But on a positive note.. what you paid for it is what a true 1GB player of that type roughly costs anyway.

No... it was never 60GB and there is no possible way you could 'hack' it back to 60GB and expect it to play almost 60GB worth of media. It's impossible. As you said, everything started corrupting. Everything that is written to a hacked player 'after' the true memory size will corrupt and be unplayable ... always.

Those guys are worse than the scammers on Ebay... IMO

So are you saying that me being stupid didn't screw it up?(Yay for me!) and that the company ripped me off(Boo for me!) and it really is only 1gig(aholes could've at least sent me one with 4gigs)? If so what should I do about it? Should I try and get my money back in hopes they actually will give me my money back or just say screw it? Is there anything really cool I can do with it to make me feel better?
