armendvisoka,
1. Can you give me some background information? 2. What file are you using? Are you using the 3. Do you know what firmware version you have? You can find this out in your "Settings" menu within the player. |
What kind of background information? And what do you mean by am i using the 3? My firmware version is 9.0.48.

armendvisoka,
If you attempted to extract your 9.0.48 it will be incomplete and 'unrepairable' -(see the s1fwx documentation) S1fwx can't completely extract firmware versions above 9.0.43 and s1res can't load these incomplete firmware files to edit them. You'll either have to live with the current firmware theme, contact the players manufacturer for the full version or find the exact firmware somewhere else. The last option is extremely difficult. |
Is there a way to downgrade firmware? or will s1res and s1fwx eventually be able to support my firmware?
|
No.. never attempt to 'downgrade' your firmware. The firmware that is in your player now is the only type it will work with. If you flash a different version to it, it will cease to function. So please don't do that or you'll be looking to buy another one.
Thats why i said "You'll either have to live with the current firmware theme, contact the players manufacturer for the full version or find the exact firmware somewhere else" Only the 'exact' version will do... nothing else will. Thats the biggest flaw with these cheap chinese mp4 players. Currently there is no version of s1fwx to support fw9.0.48 or higher. It can be extracted with s1clone, but not themed. Surely sooner or later someone will make a version of s1fwx to extract v9.0.48, 9.0.50 and higher. |
Ok, good to hear, i hope someone does make a version of s1fwx soon :D
