Default Adding games to my Vista player from UXcell

Uxcell said I could download more games for my Vista player in RKP format. I asked what website I could get them from, but never got a reply to that. Was wondering if anybody here could help?

I can't even find a description of what an RKP file is on google. Closest I can come is it is often in association with Amiga. Maybe your player can emulate old Amiga games? That would be cool. But I must say, I don't see any reference to downloading or RKP games in the description.

I have a player that is identical except for the faceplate (basically the same description, the same specs, identical layout, same GUI) and have no reference to that in any of my stuff either.

Maybe it's something in your firmware (version?), as I have a player that is supposedly Rock Chip based, though I have my doubts, that emulates NES and gameboy games. Kind of uncomfortable on a little 2.4" screen, if you ask me.

Where does it tell you about the games? What is the firmware? (maybe not useful, but curious) Does it have any games preloaded?

Default Re: adding games

My player only came with Tetris. I don't know what the firmware is, since I don't know how to do anything firmware wise with rockchip players. Uxcell just mentioned downloading RKP format games to me when I asked (since their description said games plural, not just game). But they don't seem to want to reply to my question of what website it is that I'm supposed to be able to download them from. In my attempts at searches, I only found mention of RKP games on descriptions for other for sale players.

How'd you get NES and gameboy games on yours?

The NES is on a different player. It says it's a rockchip, but won't play video formatted properly for the player we both have. Sound doesn't play unless I reformat it slightly. Got that one at geeks.com, called "game king-II". No relation to the super cheap cart based one sold in China.

Emulation is OK, but some ROMs either don't work at all or only marginally. And when emulating GB/GBC/GBA games, there is no sound. Playing them on a 2.4" screen is not ideal for more than a few minutes, and the video is better on my other player, so it's kind of a travel toy. On a plane? Bust-A-Move. Waiting at the service garage? Mario!

As for the player in front of you, you can check the FW by going into the settings. Click down to system, then About. That will give you the version and date of the FW as well as memory (free/total) info for flash and SD.
