Default Badly solded battery (or so i presume)

I removed a memory hack from my supposedly 4gig chipod (turned out to be two) but now i still face another problem.

The battery has the tendency to act up, as in connecting sometimes when i attach it to the pc using the usb cable, but not when i just flick the switch on the player to on. I read something off another user on the board having a similar (yet not so similar otherwise i wouldnt be posting this thread) problem, and it worked for him to stick a little piece of cardboard over the battery pushing it closer to the connectors, but somehow i get the feeling that this won't work for me as i assume that his casing is different from mine. Mine is full-bodied metal. I will try the cardboard trick tomorrow, and see if this works; If not, i will be posting some pictures of the internal lay-out. this is a pic of the outside [img=left:22640f0c1d]http://i21.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/9f/f9/f334_1.JPG[/img:22640f0c1d]

Has anyone else had the same problem or does anybody know a solution to this issue?

Kind regards,
RD

Rassdesign , likely as you mentioned that the battery terminals are badly soldered to the player. Try opening it up and resolder the terminals back to the mainboard.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

i just thought of the fact that i'd better wait till that guy replies about a settlement. However, i could demand another one lol, i'll give it some thought. But right now, it's irritating because i cant get it to power on anymore and use S1Clone by wire to back up my firmware and try finding an upgrade for it. Cuz i have a feeling that it might possibly have something to do with the firmware aswell, or can i rule that one out?

Greetz,

P.s i noticed you're from SA, loved being in Adelaide a couple months back! Great food

Cheerz!
