Fading music

Whenever I skip a song, going forwards or backwards, the music fades for about three seconds, stops, then goes to the next song. For video, the sound does the same thing, and the video slows down too. Is this just a problem with the players, or a setting that you can change? I have 9.0.50 fw if that makes a difference.

nachoman,

Not a problem, it's just the way they're made. Unfortunatey i don't think theres much you can do about it. I miss the old "press stop and the music stops" as in my old mp3 player.

Yeah, me too. I really miss my Archos Ondio i had a few years ago... Too bad it came with a faulty power regulator chip that drained the batteries in an hour, and that the power button broke one day. But the sound on that thing was incredible (it broke a pair of earbuds like every month ) and Rockbox was and is the best alternative firmware ever made for MP3 players. :)
