I all

i buy one mp3 4gb from hong kong, so every time a put more tem 256 mb apper this msg "Format Error", and a i can use him like am pen drive, so i format like an topic saied

now his have just 256 mb, but i've opened him, and can't find the model, and the memory have this information samsung 715 k9hbg08u1m pcb0 fea58620 his firmware is 9.1.51

what can i do?! in a pdf that i find in this forum, saied how to see the density of my memoria, and for that text, his density is 32gb and x8, so he his really 4gb?!?

please some one help me!!!

Hi, it looks like you have a hacked player. 256mb is your real memory capacity. That's why you have format errors when you try to add more.

Where did you buy the player from? If eBay, file a dispute with Paypal and you might be able to get some of your money back.

If the seller tells you to send the money back at your cost for a full refund, don't do it. Chances are you will never see your money or another player again.

tomtur , according to the Samsung datasheet, the K9HBG08U1M is indeed a 32Gigabit (4GigaByte) memory chip.

There are 2 possibilities, either Samsung printed the wrong serial number and sold them off cheaply as product rejects, OR the seller/manufacturer intentionally altered the serial number to fake the 4GB number.

As booboo773 suggested, contact your seller for a full refund.
