Default Firmware upload stopping at 30%

Hi everybody,
please can somebody helps me with my problem? My player was dead so I have followed the recovery guide to the letter and everything goes well until the time comes to load the firmware. It is at this point that the upload gets stuck at around 30-40%. Exactly like this: http://www.mympxplayer.org/image-full-asp187.html
I tried it many times, but always the load progress stopping at the same position.

Please help me.
Thank you.

Yes I am having the very same problem and we think its driver related. I'll let you know how we get on with this problem, if you get it sorted in the mean time can you let me know?
I tried to update the driver and since then all I have is a blank screen! I finally got the computer to recognize the mp3 player but still having difficulties updating the driver and firmware...nothing seem to work, I get as far as locating the driver file but the computer wants a .inf file and all I have been able to get off the net is other file types...I'm stumped!

romeri , i'll suggest you uninstall the current MP3 Utilities and re-install another version. Sometimes the problem is solved by changing to another version.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Hi lattesurf,

thank you for your suggestion. I tried to use 3 different types of upgrading tools, version: 3.68, 4.05, 4.13, but still the same problem. I am very unhappy of this. I have 2 dead players with the same problem.

Romeri, are you sure that the firmware file is exactly the same as the one running on your player?

i tried to update my player of version 9.1.50 with firmware 3.x.x. and it also stopped at 30%. But when i tried another version 9.x.x., it worked. but of course since the two versions are not compatible to each other so my player turned out to be a dead player later ( )
